We are back from another course, this time in Cameroon, in the western region of the country.
Ten technicians from different places, such as Bafanji or the jungle in the south of the country bordering Gabon, took part in the course.
During these weeks:
💧 They have learnt how to manufacture the EMAS hand pump.
💧 They have made 3 manual boreholes and improved a hand-dug well where a lateral pump has been installed, reducing effort and avoiding contamination of the well by not introducing buckets and ropes that could be dirty.
💧The practice has also been accompanied on a daily basis by daily theory sessions.
💧Finally, a latrine and a shower with a simple heater have been built.
We wish all the best to these new technicians in our methodology to improve the situation in access to water in the villages where they live and work. We will keep in touch to give them all the support we can.
