  • Bombas manuales, a pedal, solar...
  • Perforaciones manuales profundas
  • Pozos mejorados (higienizados)
  • Letrinas y duchas
  • Calentadores solares y fregaderos

EMAS standard drilling system
This hand-drilling system was developed by EMAS in Bolivia. It can reach 100 meters depth. 30 meters are normal for the first day. The cost of a 30-meters well is around 200 Euro including hand pump. Local drillers offer their services and do the drilling together with the families. The EMAS pumps were designed especially for these boreholes with reduced diameter.
Odourless and inexpensive EMAS latrines
There exist two types of EMAS latrines, the permanent one has a fecal chamber which can be emptied and a temporary type. Here the whole cubicle is changed to another pit. The cubicle itself is made in a nice, stable, cheap and durable way.
EMAS solar water heater using glass bottles and PVC pipes
This simple type of solar heater is easy to build and very efficient. Because of its water volume it is night frost resistant and (using polypropylene fittings) also corrosions free. This type does not need a warm water tank if warm water is used during day. How to make the warm water storage tank is shown on a separate movie

Solar heating – hot shower using bottles
This movie shows a bottle heater, where the hot water is used for a shower.
EMAS underground cisterns for rain water harvesting
An EMAS cistern with 7000 liters needs about 5 bags of cement (50 Kg). It can be washed within a few minutes without entering, it is low cost and long lasting. Several tanks can solve the need of water during the whole year. To make rain water drinkable is shown in another
how to make a small ferrocement tank
Small ferro cement tanks are useful for household water storage, for grain storage, spring catchments, improved hand dug wells and many more…..
Ferrocement tank using a temporary inner form
This ferro cement tank needs only binding wire instead an iron cache. It is cheaper and easier to build in case there is a demand for more pieces.
EMAS underground cistern made in pure sand
Often it is said, that making an EMAS underground cistern in pure sand (just plastering the earth wall with cement mix)is not possible because of collapsing the digging. Here is shown a technique where this is possble. By the way, a cistern in pure sand very seldom cracks and is more stable than in hard clay soil.
